Since this blog started there has been one question that people often ask and that question is “what are some good free browser MMO games like Runescape?” Apparently there are a lot of people who are looking for something similar (or better than) RS.
This is a list of the best free MMORPGs that you can play on your browser with no game client download needed. This not a list of every single game available; these were chosen based on their similarity to RS. Please note that only short descriptions of the basic features of the games will be given. There will be no long, detailed reviews here. These are all browser games that take only a few minutes to start playing so we want to encourage people to to just go ahead and check the game out yourself since it’s so fast and easy to do.

Drakensang Online – look no further, this is the best of the browser MMOs available today. Its top features include impressive 3D graphics and a Western medieval fantasy world very similar to Runescape. Players can complete quests, fight monsters, raid dungeons with their friends and compete with others in PvP arenas.
In Drakensang Online, players can choose to play as either a Dragonknight, Spellweaver or Ranger. Dragonknights can show off their prowess in close quarters combat; Spellweavers can launch impressive magic attacks and Rangers can deal damage from a distance. There is also a crafting system that former RS players will enjoy though it is not as extensive as the crafting skill in Runescape.
One of the best things about Drakensang is the flexible skill system in which players can customize their character’s skills by modifying its elemental attribute. For example, an energy ball can be turned into a frostball or a basic explosive attack can be changed into a meteor attack.

Crystal Saga – a fun free-to-play browser MMORPG with beautiful, colorful graphics. RS players who are looking for a new game to play can explore a vast virtual world filled with adventure and trreasure. Launched last September 2011, Crystal Saga has proved to be a hit by attracting over 2 million registered users.
There are five available classes: Mage, Paladin, Priest, Ranger and Rogue. Players can use a wide variety of pets, mounts, weapons and items. Gameplay is very casual and fun, with tons of monsters to slay, plus lots of weekly events and giveaways.

Dragon’s Call – a game that has gotten a lot of good reviews around the internet. Solid, fun gameplay and an extensive crafting system makes Dragon’s Call a very addictive MMO.
While it is not particularly unique or innovative, Dragon’s Call is very polished and has so many extra features that players are sure to enjoy themselves. Bonus features include an auction house, player-controlled market system, job system, PvP, tournaments, mail system and guild support. It has are four classes in total: Vampire, Warrior, Assassin and Mage.
The wide variety of different activities available means that it’s a great choice for fans of classic fantasy RPGs who will get bored if all they have to do all day is kill monsters.
